The Beardslee Chandelier Manufacturing Company prided themselves on their cooperation with architects. Architects could send building blueprints to Beardslee, and the company would design the lighting for their building out of their catalog of products. The company marked all of their products with a trademark logo to guarantee a genuine product. The company installed lighting in offices, public buildings, and shopping centers, as well as offering 24-hour shipment catalogs of products that they had on stock.
The company began manufacturing their products in Chicago in 1902. Beardslee boasted that their factory was equipped "with every modern labor-saving device pertinent to our industry." Although the factory had modernized, Beardslee reinforced the fact that the spirit of "pride-in-work" of old-time craftsman still existed in the factory.
We find that early antique lighting was designed as objects of art and we treat each fixture with careful attention to preserve original beauty. Our fixtures are cleaned, rewired & are ready to hang, following UL standards. We can work with you on code requirements.
We offer fully insured shipping within the continental United States. Shipping will be calculated at checkout. For items requiring freight or blanket-wrap delivery. Please contact us for a quote.
