Year of the pendant

In 2015, we saw a growing popularity of pendants among our customers. Pendants are a hot item right now because they are unique and versatile. Pendants come in every shape, size, and material, and can be mixed and matched to create one-of-a-kind décor and design. They look good everywhere, from kitchens to bedrooms. Here's some ideas of how you can incorporate pendants into your home in 2016. (Inspiring photos from

Here's a few of our favorite pendants for 2016:

This delicate, etched Steuben bowl fixture is paired with its original fitting in heavy cast bronze and creates a lovely play in materials and could be a highlight in any room. This fixture illustrates how both bowl pendants and drum pendants create unique silhouettes in a space. The rich metal tones, a big trend of 2015, will continue in 2016 because they work in both colorful and neutral environments, and pair with multiple styles of décor.

Simple globe lights span decades, originating as street light posts. They remain popular because of the retro yet simple look and can serve a variety of styles. They are great in clusters and groups and will always provide adequate light for a space. We also like how the round shape can give space a softer, warmer feel.

We've begun to notice pendants alongside beds replacing table lamps. What an effective way to light up a room, especially one with limited space where a table lamp on a nightstand will just get cluttered. The small pendant can serve multiple purposes! Another take on smaller size pendants is to group multiple of them together. Clustering pendants can cast a beautiful pattern of light and create magical results.

This is our view on the new pendant lighting trends. What are your ideas of lighting trends in 2016 and how are they suitable for your style?

We wish you a bright 2016 and happy decorating!
