A little about Lightolier: Founded by Bernhard Blitzer in 1904 as New York Gas and Appliances Co., the company changed its name to Lightolier, a contraction of light and chandelier, as electric lighting became more widely accepted. Initially, they specialized in decorative chandeliers, but shifted their focus to high-end designs in the 1920s. Lightolier continued to be on the cutting edge of lighting design especially with their forward designs during mid-century modern period.
We find that early antique lighting was designed as objects of art and we treat each fixture with careful attention to preserve original beauty. Our fixtures are cleaned, rewired, and restored & are ready to hang, following UL standards. We can work with you on code requirements.
