This cast bronze six candle chandelier has a grounding presence. Acanthus leaf arms curl at the body and flow out to hold the detailed basins of the candle holders. The lion quadrifrons are connected by Laurel wreaths with berries, both of which are ancient Roman symbolic references to victory and strength. Artichoke leaves blossom on the lower body of the fixture with a central bud, giving a feminine touch to the visual masculinity of this lights stature. The bronze of this light has a slight patina, a warm red glow in the dark finish. This light comes from a salvaged mansion in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, details are unknown.
We find that early antique lighting was designed as objects of art and we treat each fixture with careful attention to preserve original beauty. Our fixtures are cleaned, rewired & are ready to hang, following UL standards. We can work with you on code requirements.
