1910 mission chandeliers from F.W. Wakefield Co. with original frosted glass shades. These light fixtures are early productions of the F.W. Wakefield Brass Co, patented in 1910, the same year the company was incorporated. Located in Vermilion, Ohio, the company produced gas and incandescent lighting fixtures, household hardware, and metal novelties until the end of the 1960's, allowing the forms of their products to evolve with the popular styles of each time period. The use of brass tubing and glass shades in basic shapes on heavy chains references the popular Mission style of the early 20th century. The central pendant ceiling light, sometimes supplemented by wall sconces, was the most usual form of fixed lighting in the period. Place these lights over a central spot in the living room, or over a dining room table.

We find that early antique lighting was designed as objects of art and we treat each fixture with careful attention to preserve original beauty. Our fixtures are cleaned, rewired, and restored & are ready to hang, following UL standards. We can work with you on code requirements.
