This masterpiece crystal chandelier came from a Tudor mansion in River Forest, Illinois. Sadly this spectacular home was left in disrepair for years following an incomplete renovation and the new owners decided the home was beyond saving.
This chandelier is so large the only way to describe it is multi-leveled. From the base which features a pressed glass finial larger than we have ever seen, to the massive cast brass canopy adorned with 6 sprawling acanthus leaves. A scalloped bobeche caps the base of the two-tiered crystal baskets and the crown is adorned with pressed glass acanthus leaves. The bulk of this light is in the long strands of crystals that gradually decrease in size up the length, again crowned by acanthus leaves with a final basket of crystals matching the bottom. A glass break holds up the final bobeche before a chain, length of your choosing, connects it to the canopy.
