The beginning of the 20th century saw a variety of style in lighting fixtures and their detailing. Shell shaped slipper shades were commonly seen in lighting fixtures of the time. This light is a presentation piece, mixing Art Deco with curved, twisting vines that reference floral ornamentation, rounded arch details, and an upside down spade shapes that reference a fleur-de-lis shape of the Tudor revival period. This chandelier was made by the Lincoln Manufacturing Company, one of the major lighting fixture manufacturers and maker of slipper shade lights in the 1920's and 1930's. The company was known for their quality and design, and seemed to target the growing middle class with their price points.

We find that early antique lighting was designed as objects of art and we treat each fixture with careful attention to preserve original beauty. Our fixtures are cleaned, rewired, and restored & are ready to hang, following UL standards. We can work with you on code requirements.
