This lovely ocean inspired mantel features seashells adorning both the ornamental shelf as well as the pedestals on either side of the mirror. The pedestals have dentil detailing and support composite columns. The columns themselves are intriguing as the ionic volutes swirl upwards as opposed to downwards as it would be in the traditional Greek column order. The frieze is kept simple with the statement in the carved central shell. Egg and Dart trim adorns the ornamental shelf as well as the fireplace surround.
