This striking sconce was manufactured by Bradley & Hubbard, a premier lighting company of the late 19th and early 20th century. The golden hardware compliments the orange hue of the shade, which reflects light beautifully.
Although Nathaniel Bradley, William Bradley, and Walter Hubbard started their Connecticut-based company in 1852, they did not begin to manufacture light fixtures until 1859, when oil was discovered in Pennsylvania. Today, rare Bradley & Hubbard light fixtures can go for as much as $4,000-5,000!
We find that early antique lighting was designed as objects of art and we treat each fixture with careful attention to preserve original beauty. Our fixtures are cleaned, rewired, and restored & are ready to hang, following UL standards. We can work with you on code requirements.
