These symmetrical bowtie sconces were designed by the John C. Virden Company. They are made of brass and have glass shades. These midcentury modern products will add a vintage, urban feel to whatever space they inhabit.
The John C. Virden Company was located in Cleveland, Ohio and manufactured lights for decades. By 1968, Virden was the third largest among the nation’s 1,400 fixture manufacturers. The company produced 10,000 to 15,000 fixtures per day, all stylish for their time.
We find that early antique lighting was designed as objects of art and we treat each fixture with careful attention to preserve original beauty. Our fixtures are cleaned, rewired, and restored & are ready to hang, following UL standards. We can work with you on code requirements.
