These bronze/brass sconces circa 1900's are by Bradley & Hubbard, a company known for their quality of craftsmanship. Although Nathaniel Bradley, William Bradley, and Walter Hubbard started their Connecticut-based company in 1852, they did not begin to manufacture light fixtures until 1859, when oil was discovered in Pennsylvania. From there the business took off, with their growing list of products being marketed across the nation by travelling salesmen and in their own showrooms in New York, Boston, Chicago, and Philadelphia. Today their name is synonymous with high-quality craftsmanship and artistry.

*These sconces have a varying degree of patina. Two are fairly polished and two have more textural verdigris as shown in photos.
