This eight light chandelier is overgrown with acanthus at every twist and turn! Beginning at the canopy, acanthus leaves swirl to the right in unseen wind. Lower down another ring of leaves move in the opposite direction. Delicate three dimensional profiles of organic elements reach upwards and downwards holding the rod to the arms. Just above the body another set of overlapping leaves roll from side to side. The central body anchors the whim of this light. Even the bobeche’s and socket covers are themselves quatrefoil acanthus leaves. The turn keys on the arms of the gas portions of this light feature descending acanthus flowers. Each decoration is wonderfully detailed in its craftsmanship and the peach pink NuArt shades enhance the patina of the brass.
