Gutta-Percha is a form of natural latex sourced from evergreen trees in East Asia. It was used from around 1848-1900 in the manufacturing of a wide variety of things, including medical supplies, hardware, and golf balls. It was an antecedent to modern synthetic composition materials, such as those used in Bakelite.

Rosette is not exact match to knob but is made of the same materials.
