The gorgeous pattern on these cast brass door knob sets is called "Ceylon" and was manufactured by P&F Corbin Company between 1895 and 1905.  It is a classic Eastlake design with bold, intricate geometric and floral details. We have 22 of these beautiful sets available for purchase: enough to outfit an entire home! Please note that each is slightly different in terms of wear and patina; a few examples are shown in the photos. Each set includes two knobs, two back plates, one mortise, one spindle, and two set screws.

One of the largest manufacturers of antique hardware during the Victorian era, P & F Corbin did not start specializing in builder's hardware and locks until 1868, after nearly 20 years in the hardware business. By 1902 it had merged with Russell & Erwin to form the American Hardware Corporation, which is now part of the Swedish conglomerate, ASSA ABLOY.
