Originally gas, this chandelier is ready to conquer the modern age. The cranberry glass body shines beneath the organic elements of this piece. Cranberry glass, otherwise known as red ruby glass, is specially made by adding gold into the molten glass and was very popular during the Victorian era. With such finely crafted cast brass elements the detail of this piece is needs to be seen in person to be believed. With textured brass arms branching (literally branches) out to hold the candelabra sockets and are adorned with over a dozen types of clearly distinctive flowers. Hidden among the foliage are delicate herons. Moving to the top of the body is a cranberry glass urn held by woven brass, up the hefty chain to a beautiful golden canopy just as detailed as the rest of this magnificent chandelier.
