A beautiful Victorian style newel post. Like many Victorian style wood work pieces, it has a very decorative design. The post is hand-carved and the details are stunning. It includes floral elements and geometric shapes, which add both depth and character to the piece. Originally there would have been some sort of finial at the top of the post, but currently there is nothing there.
