This light features geometric detail, both in the shape of the shade and the stencil painted patterns, smooth lines, and streamlined form, as was common with the deco style of the early 20th century. The ornamentation of the roses, as well as the color used in the stencil and accenting the corners of the shade also lend themselves to this style. The use of custard glass for the shade indicates that this was likely made early on in the deco era, as the popularity of custard glass died down with the introduction of carnival glass. Place this fixture in your kitchen, entryway, or even the bathroom to add a whimsical touch and warm glow to the room.
