Established in 1860, the Daprato Rigali Studios are internationally known for the quality and excellence of their religious statuary. Founder John Rigali was artistically trained in Florence, Italy under Maestro Colgnori. This full-scale winged angel, created circa 1920, is one of two that would have originally flanked an altar. Made of plaster and wood, the original paint in rich hues of yellows, blues, and golds is sought after and has crazing, or crackled finish, with some flaking.
