These sturdily designed balusters are made of handsome cast iron and feature a flowing geometric Art Nouveau design. Blossoming lilies curve up and meet one another at the center of a circular frame. This motif is repeated four times and topped by asymmetrical volutes. Even though these are cast iron, some bronze plating still remains underneath the rust. Each baluster has aged and rusted differently, giving each one its own special character!
They originated from The Pabst Building built in the 1890’s in Milwaukee, WI. The building was the City's first skyscraper, 14-floors high, built by Frederick Pabst, and lasted until 1981.
