This gorgeous oak display case is both functional and handsome. At the back of the fixture, mirrored doors open by sliding down towards the floor, making an attractive and practical use of space. The woodwork on the case also features many wonderful details, including decorative fretwork and geometric patterning typical of Eastlake furniture. Please note that one of the fixtures is missing a piece of fretwork; see photos for details. Finally, the emblem on the front suggests that this case was used at the Alexander H. Revell & Company storefront in Chicago, which manufactured and sold myriad home furnishings and household goods.
