Human anatomy was the most prominent of the biological sciences of the 19th and early 20th centuries. The discipline also progressed to establish growing sources of knowledge in histology and developmental biology. As a supplement to intricately drawn diagrams in books, plastic models were cast to replace the need for bodies. Along with the most modern instruments of discovery and measurement of the time these models were used for teaching in a classroom or at home, or use these as a conversation starter in a room with oddities of the 20th century. These models & medical instruments were rescued from St. Catherine University’s Biology department in St. Paul Minnesota.
