Established in 1860, the Daprato Rigali Studios are international known for the quality and excellence in religious statuary, its founder John Rigali artistically trained in Florence, Italy under Maestro Colgnori. This winged angel, circa 1920, is one of two that would have originally flanked an altar, and are full scale. Made of plaster and wood, the original paint in rich hues of yellows, blues and golds is sought after and is full of crazing or crackled finish with some flaking. The brass torchiere, is newly rewired and restored.
